When Does Assassins Creed Jade Come Out? It’s Been Delayed

You might have been eagerly awaiting the release of Assassin’s Creed Jade, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer. According to reports from Reuters, the game has been pushed back to 2025. What’s the deal? Well, it seems like there’s been a big shake-up over at Tencent, the company behind the game.

It turns out that Tencent moved a bunch of folks from the Assassin’s Creed Jade team over to work on DreamStar, a new party game they just launched. Assassin’s Creed Jade, set in ancient China, has been cooking for about four years now, so it’s a bit of a surprise to see the delay.

But why the change? Well, it seems Tencent wants to focus more on games they own themselves, like Genshin Impact. They figure they can make more money that way. Assassin’s Creed Jade was supposed to be the first full game in the series made just for mobile devices, and it’s being developed by Level Infinite, a company under Tencent, in collaboration with Ubisoft.

Now, personally, I’m a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed series, and I was really looking forward to diving into Jade. It’s a bummer to hear about the delay, but hey, if it means we’ll get an even better game in the end, I’m all for it. Plus, there’s still Assassin’s Creed Codename Red to look forward to, which should be hitting shelves by the end of March 2025.

So, while we might have to wait a little longer to explore ancient China in Assassin’s Creed Jade, it sounds like Tencent has some exciting things in store for us down the road. Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more!
